baseball season

Baseball season ended today. It was a fun season in a new town...they seem to go all out here compared to the other places we have lived during baseball. Opening Day was back in May and was a great time with games on the big-time fields, a parade, and traditional baseball food for lunch. The boys had a lot of fun, Barrett played on the A's and Cameron on the Rockies. Clint was once again lucky enough to coach..this time Cameron's team... Oh - and recognize the mitt Barrett is using in this picture Richie? He lost his just before the last game but happened to find this one somewhere at grandma's house... we'll be sure to put it back right where he found it in case you come looking for it...

Swimming

We took our first pool trip of the summer today. I waited until Clint could come to see how things would go this year with Savanna and Mr. E. Well, I think I can only go to the pool when I have another adult there soley to help me supervise...Mr. E is too brave. Savanna's first time at the pool was pure enjoyment for her...she kicked her little toes raw on the bottom of the pool and exhausted her little self. good times.

Happy Birthday Ethan!

Where oh where did the last three years go???
Our little Ethan turned three today! He has been a pure joy and so much fun in our home. Ethan is our bright-eyed, fun-loving, easy-going kid who we just can't get enough of! He had a very speedy day full of lots and lots of fun! He loved his Lightning McQueen cake and party with his cousins at Chuck E Cheese. Tonight, he ended the day going to sleep in his new race car bed! We love you Ethan! Happy Birthday and thanks for three wonderful years! Sweet Dreams!

The Lost Tooth

Cameron had a great day today...well mostly! He was star of the week, so I got to go to his class and tell them all about him! It is his half-birthday today, he had a new cousin born today (can't wait to meet Jaxon Cade Frisby!!), AND he lost his first tooth at school. What a coincindence that they are learning all about teeth this week too! Well after school, he just couldn't wait to show everyone his lost tooth. He begged me to let him go show some neighbors or take him to Grandma's to show her. Well, we didn't do either of those, and soon after these pictures were taken, the tooth was really LOST. We can't find it anywhere! He was so sad and I felt so bad. He wrote this letter to the Tooth Fairy to put under his pillow tonight...I sure hope she understands! Maybe that tooth will eventually show up...

February over already???

Where does the time go? It is already the end of February! I am going to backdate a bunch of February highlights so scroll on down! It has been a busy month.

For the last 2 weeks one of us has been dealing with the flu...just when we think we are over it, it strikes someone else. It hit all the boys, but Savanna and I have been ok so far... thankfully! We are hoping it is over for good. Ironically, this is the first year we got flu shots...hmmmmm....

Here is a funny story: Last weekend, Clint took Barrett and Cameron to see a play that my little sister was in while I stayed home with sick Ethan and little Savanna. My Dad showed up late to the play and when Barrett asked him where he had been his reply was, " I had to marry someone." (He is a Bishop). Barrett excitedly said, "I have 3 Grandma Frisby's now! The one that passed away (great-grandma), Grandma Cathy and the one you just married!" So Funny!

Now a little glimpse into our crazy crazy life... Last Sunday, we set the table for dinner and called the boys down to eat. Seeing the table set, they started saying things like: "Hey, I remember when we used to eat like this!" "Yeah, like in the old days..." "Let's eat like this on every Sunday, Mom..." In our defense, we do eat Sunday dinner at Grandma's often, and we did just have a baby..ha ha. I guess we have been using the bar a little too often...

We are still working hard on the house, getting closer to being done everyday, but still much to do! We are making decisions almost daily about things, and changing our minds almost daily about those things! There are so many decisions to make and we all know I second guess almost every decision I make, but it is all coming together nicely and we are really excited about it. I need to go out and take some recent pics to post.

It has been a good and busy month.... and it is hard to believe it is over!!

little piggy tail...

I put Savanna's hair in her first little piggy tail today! She didn't like it when I did it, but from what I'm told...there's no time like now to get her used to having her hair played with! She looked so cute! Her hair is growing and likes to stick up all over, so I am trying to find new ways to do it! This is all new to me... I have a lot to learn!

Book Tag

So I just realized I've been "book tagged" by my dear cousin Amber... here it goes:

Rules of the Game:
1. Find the nearest book to you.
2. Name the book and author.
3. Turn to page 123.
4. Go to the fifth sentence on the page.
5. Copy out the next 3 sentences and post to your blog.
6. Tag three other people.

1. Ethan was just reading this book to me... he has it memorized and loves to read it over and over again.
2. The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and THE BIG HUNGRY BEAR
by Don and Audrey Wood
3. since there is no page 123, I will copy out pages 1, 2, & 3...

Hello, little Mouse. What are you doing?
Oh, I see. Are you going to pick that red, ripe strawberry?
But, little Mouse, haven't you heard about the big hungry bear?

There you have it... that is the extent of my reading at this point in my life...the same books as my 2 year old!

I tag Cody, Sara, and Chandi!

Clint took each of the boys skiing seperately for their first time! They can't wait to go again! Cameron even got to take Traveling Teddy from his Kindergarten class with him!

Japan and Barrett

Barrett had a blast learning all about Japan this month. One of the fun projects his class did, was to send yourself (Flat Barrett) to another place. This was based on the book Flat Stanley that they had just read in class. He chose to send himself to his cousins, the Smalls, in Japan. They did a great job of showing Flat Barrett all around and teaching him all kinds of things about Japan! They sent him a great package with lots of fun stuff and pictures from Japan. After all that, Barrett decided to do his country report on Japan instead of Spain as he had previously decided. He did a great job on his report and we had lots of fun things to show thanks to the Smalls!! Here are a few pics of them showing Flat Barrett around Japan...

Cubs Cake Contest

The Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet was tonight! The dads and boys each decorated a cake for a contest. It was a hawaiian theme, so Barrett and Clint made an ocean/beach scene. It turned out really cute. There was some pretty stiff competition and luckily everyone was a winner in this contest!

Savanna's Blessing Day

Savanna Blythe was blessed last Sunday. It was a wonderful, special day shared with lots of close family and friends. She was so precious dressed in white. My super talented sister made her darling one-of-a-kind dress and it is so cute!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are my lovies... Ethan and Savanna. They are too sweet and I am lucky to get to spend all day, everyday with them! My little Sav reminds me of a baby doll...doesn't she look like one???

Barrett and Daddy made this airplane box for the Creative Valentine Box contest at school. Barrett's box won for "The Best"! They had a good time making it...Barrett especially loved using
the spray paint!

Cameron had a fun Valentine's Day. After school, he made a bunch of hearts to give away, but decided to ride around the nei
ghborhood and try to "sell" them. We love Cameron and his clever, creative, entrepreneurial spirit!

Our Baby Princess... 2 months old!

Here is our little princess. She is so much fun! She is such a calm, still, and patient baby. She demands very little and puts up with a lot! She has started to sleep 6-8 hours at night...we are really grateful for that!I took her in for her 2 month check up today and she weighed 12 lbs. 1 oz. and was 23 1/4 inches long! She's definitely not starving, but is on the smaller end for our kids.... just to compare... Ethan weighed 15 lbs. 4 oz. at 2 months, Cameron weighed 14 lbs. 4 oz. at 2 months and Barrett weighed 12 lbs. 13 oz. at 2 months!! The other day I walked into the room and Barrett was picking her up...I asked him what he was doing and he replied, "Just holding her like a prince carries a princess." Lucky Princess! Four Princes!

Savanna plays...

Savanna loves her play gym...most of the time! I think she'll like it even more the older she gets.

Missing Daddy...

We were all missing Daddy while he was out of town this week...the kids cuddled up in my room to watch a movie. Although I do not sleep well when Clint is out of town, I didn't give in to the boys begging to sleep with me...off to their own beds they went...we just couldn't fit in my bed although they seemed to think it was a possibility!

So far...Ethan still can't get enough of his "baby sister"...
So far...she puts up with it! He really is more than happy to be a big brother.
