We love a good excuse to visit any of our old stompin' grounds, so when a good family friend was having his wedding reception in Cedar City, we were excited about a trip down south. What was intended to be a quick trip ended up taking the better part of the 2 days just to get there and home. We were majorly detoured by the Milford Flats Fire so we ended up in the car much longer than we thought we would be. BUT, we still made it to the reception and got to spend a little bit of time around town. Cedar City will always be a special place to our family. It is where Clint and I met, went to college and lived for almost 3 years after we were married. Barrett was born there and we spent 6 months living there a couple of years ago. Actually, it is the place I have lived second longest of anywhere! We always love going back...there is definitely a good feeling there and some very fond memories we like to talk about and share with our kids. It was fun to see old friends, places we lived and worked, and walk around our old campus. The kids really enjoyed swimming at the hotel pool. We drove home through Brian Head and stopped to see Cedar Breaks...those are some of our favorite places. It was a nice weekend... always is when you're taking a walk down memory lane!

Looks fun- and cute photos. That "memory lane stuff" is kind of how I feel every time I go to Mesa here- or the Temple! I have to go to the Visitor Center everytime- since I spent so much time there! :)
Sounds like a fun trip. I always wonder what it would be like to move away from a place you lived for quite a while. I only lived in Provo for a little bit after college--it will be strange to move from MD, and fun to visit again.
Okay first I have to say that I LOVE the picture of your 3 boys jumping into the pool. Cutest thing ever! I could see how a trip to Cedar City would be so fun for your family. That's so fun
